Dakota began his wealth management career in 2025, joining SBW as an Associate Advisor. In this role, he works closely with the firm’s senior advisors, gaining hands-on experience in delivering disciplined and client-focused financial planning solutions.
With a strong foundation in retail banking and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Windsor—specializing in finance with a minor in economics—Dakota brings a practical, client-centered perspective to wealth management. His background equips him to help individuals manage both their day-to-day financial needs and long-term planning goals.Dakota is currently pursuing the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Under the mentorship of the SBW team, he is developing a comprehensive approach to financial planning that emphasizes clarity, structure, and trust in every client interaction.
Before transitioning into finance, Dakota spent four years as a goaltender in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), followed by competing on the men’s varsity hockey team at the University of Windsor. His time in high-level competitive sport instilled a deep respect for preparation, discipline, and teamwork—values he brings to his advisory practice today.Originally from Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, Dakota remains closely connected to his community. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, golfing, working out, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends and family.
